New Caledonia
5 Regular seeds per pack
New Caledonia is a pure, second generation, sativa strain. It hails from the remote Pacific island of the same name. This New Caledonia pure sativa strain and offers deliciously complex flavours alongside big potential yields.
As a low-latitude sativa New Caledonia performs at its best when grown outdoors with plenty of sunshine between 0° - 43° of latitude. Plants are highly vigorous and can stretch up to 5 times its pre-flowering height once flowering kicks in reaching as tall as 400 cm. Plants have high resistance to the heat, botrytis and powdery mildew as well as having some protection against spider mites and white fly. Outdoor growers in the northern hemisphere will be able to harvest in mid November so it is important that the weather remains good until this late in the autumn.
Indoor growers shouldn't feel excluded though as some excellent results can be achieved in this environment as well. Seedlings should be switched to flowering after 15 days in order to restrict height and those using clones are advised that they need to have rooted for a minimum of 7 days before the switch. In order to give flowering a good start 11 hours of light per 24 is recommended and this will also help to prevent both too much stretch as well as re-flowering later on. Flowering indoors takes 13 - 14 weeks. Structurally plants are typical lanky tropical sativa strains with long and bendy branches. SCRoG or other support techniques will increase yields indoors.
Scents are of sweet, ripe tropical fruits with some sour notes. In addition floral overtones with touches of cream and a musky lemon undertone. Herbal and floral (geranium) scents when ground up. Flavours are fresh, citrus, bittersweet, minty and resiny.
